( Jamuna Fertilizer Industry, Sarishabari, Jamalpur)

The largest fertilizer industry in Asia is situated at  Tarakandi in Sarishabari upozila. The location of this industry is beside the main road approximately 40 kilometers away from Jamalpur city. If a tourist starts at 9am from Jamalpur, he will reach the destination by 10.30am. Both the train and road transport can be availed for the tour. There is an opportunity to watch the fertilizer production procedure by taking prior-permission. There are Jamuna Garden City entertainment center in Pogaldigha union  about half kilometer away from  this  factory. People come here all the year. A tourist can visit the place if he/she wants. Furtherover, there are  few old jute mills in Sarishabari. Solar plant, Jagannathganj Ghat, Jamu Jeti Ghat is also situated there.  Besides visiting these sites a tourist can buy the famous Para Sweet of Sarishabari.
